About Us

Mission Farm is a beautiful venue with a casual, rustic feel and just the right amount of charm. The 90 acre property with breathtaking views is conveniently located just outside of Charlotte in the small town of Iron Station, North Carolina.

The farm is also home to the Shank family – Lee, Jenny, Judd, and Annalee. In 2016, the native Charlotteans decided to relocate to Iron Station for a simpler way of life. They lovingly restored a 1923 farmhouse turning it into their (hopefully) forever home. After hosting a few gatherings and a small wedding for their close friends, interest grew, and they were approached to rent out the space. Loving the idea of others getting to enjoy their farm, the couple transformed the new barn and sprawling acreage into a wedding and event venue. In just two years, this charming intimate venue has been host to countless social gatherings, parties, community events and Jenny’s favorite – weddings.

Mission Farm provides approximately 2,000 square feet of climate-controlled areas as well as 1,200 square feet of outdoor covered event space.  The open air patio is equipped with a Tennessee field stone wood burning fireplace and a restored silo turned outdoor bar.  An old oak tree overlooks the pond offering the perfect space for larger wedding ceremonies.  The newly covered pavilion area is the ideal spot for smaller weddings. The large indoor barn space equipped with gorgeous chandeliers and a handicap restroom provides a suitable alternative in case of inclement weather.  A caterer’s kitchen is also available with many amenities to suit your event needs. It’s been said that the bridal suite and groom’s loft are the reason some couples book their special day at Mission Farm. Come see for yourself if the farm is the right place for you!
